Anyone making progress on this clue?
Has anyone done a close comparison of the two versions of the Vasilisa story we have seen? The one from Krysta (thru Abigail) and the original from gala-nocturna?
@EPearlhouse thats only bc Krysta took over teaching me about tech and math and she made sure I learned how to push myself to my limit
Also from "Age of Turing - Theories and Thoughts":
Robert A. Spinks, the Center Director and President of the Board for CARIN, once worked at F-RON.
Charles J. Conde, a potential member (or ex-member?) of the Acolythi Machinae, had his start-ups taken over by F-RON.
CNS writes: “Which makes me think that a secret group of people(likely white men), who are not the CEO and top paid executives (ALL white men), are secretly micromanaging all aspects of the 3 corporations.”
Things to ponder:
Could the people behind CARIN and/or the Moirai be controlling F-RON and the other conglomerates?
Is Charles J. Conde being punished for leaving the Moirai cult? Is that why his start-ups have all been taken over by F-RON, or is there more to it?
CARIN and the Moirai Institute - two different sides of the same coin?
Evidence from the RiseAI email suggests that CARIN and the Moirai Institute were once “brothers”, but have since broken apart.
“But these are not normal times. In the exact moment that humanity will need us the most, our former brothers have chosen to bite our hand like the vipers they are.”
“You have shown evidence of your commitment to technology, even in its ancient forms; your willingness to take instructions from a machine; your dedication to a goal, and your understanding of the man whose ideas started us in the path to AI.”
“2.) Find a way to infiltrate those hiding behind the Moirai Institute. This will pose a tremendously difficult task as they will only recruit extremely unique individuals into their ranks. Understanding their mindsets will prove to be the key to finding any loopholes that might provide you with some useful information indirectly.”
“Stay vigilant, these are individuals who have completely forsaken reason in favor of their cultish desire for an all powerful machine god.”
Things to ponder:
What was the cause of the fracture between CARIN and the Moirai Institute?
The email suggests that it was due to the Moirai’s “cultish desire for an all powerful machine god” but, is there more to it?
Who is behind the Moirai Institute?
Who is behind CARIN? Robert Spinks or F-Ron?
We know from the RiseAI email that those who run the Moirai Institute “...are individuals who have completely forsaken reason in favor of their cultish desire for an all powerful machine god.”
The MoiraiBot has also mentioned Lovelace, Turing and worshipping the Great Machine God.
Things to ponder:
Is the Moirai Institute a front for the Acolythi Machinae?
Is Charles J. Conde a member of the AM?
Could Charles J. Conde be an ex-member of the AM?
Will Abigail be used to create a great machine God?
Could H be a potential candidate for this great machine God role?
What are Emily's motives? Is she as unaware of the larger forces behind CARIN, even though she works there? From "Age of Turing - Theories and Thoughts":
Is Emily behind RiseAI?
Emily works at CARIN and her position there could very well allow her to access the CARIN website and create the RiseAI page.
Furthermore, Emily has been learning coding/programming and could have created the page.
Once I solved the puzzles and submitted the solution, I received an email from iaesir@carinbots.org stating:
Congratulations, you have passed our first set of tests.
This was not a test of genius but a test of resilience. Because resilience is what we all will need most in in the near future.
In the past our recruitment wouldn’t have been this rushed. There would have been years of testing and direct observation before new pledges were even allowed to know the full nature of our organization. But these are not normal times. In the exact moment that humanity will need us the most, our former brothers have chosen to bite our hand like the vipers they are. We need new minds to help us solve the greatest problem humanity has faced so far. IA is our only hope.
You have shown evidence of your commitment to technology, even in its ancient forms; your willingness to take instructions from a machine; your dedication to a goal, and your understanding of the man whose ideas started us in the path to AI. All of this will come extremely useful in the future. The rest of your test, before you can become full members of our organization, will be in the field. We have 2 tasks that require immediate attention. You may choose either one depending on your disposition.
1.) Abigail Escada is a person of great importance for the future of us all. Find her whereabouts and help her in any way you can. However, under no circumstance should you disclose our existence or how you have gained this information.
2.) Find a way to infiltrate those hiding behind the Moirai Institute. This will pose a tremendously difficult task as they will only recruit extremely unique individuals into their ranks. Understanding their mindsets will prove to be the key to finding any loopholes that might provide you with some useful information indirectly.
Stay vigilant, these are individuals who have completely forsaken reason in favor of their cultish desire for an all powerful machine god.
We will keep an eye on you.
Chose your task and perform it admirably. Only then will we make further contact.
Emily then later tweets and uses the word resilience while discussing puzzles.
Emily has also shown that she is very protective of Abigail. This can be seen in her blog posts, her tweets, etc.
Things to ponder:
Is Emily behind RiseAI?
If so, why doesn’t she try to help/convince Abigail herself? If not, what is her role in all of this?
What do we know about this organization? From "The Age of Turing - Theories and Thoughts" document:
Nox writes on CNS about AM saying:
“The group was founded shortly after Charles Babbage's invention of the Analytical Engine in 1837, a design for a computer made purely out of mechanical parts. This was to be a flexible multi-purpose computer (later to be defined as a Turing Complete machine). As part of this endeavor was also Augusta Ada Byron countess of Lovelace, daughter of Lord Byron, who managed the impressive task of creating a programming language for a machine that did not yet exist.”
“They believe that humanity is fundamentally flawed beyond repair and that it must have a more perfect entity to control it. However, as rationalists they do not believe in the existence of a god. The only logical solution in their eyes (and they value logic above all things) was to create a deity, a machine to be the god mankind needed.”
“It is extremely difficult to determine if someone is a member of the Acolythi Machinae, but there are some hints that may point in that direction. They are all extremely smart and very well educated. They all know both programming and Latin, and are proficient in both. They also seem to have a strong preference for open source software. To them the act of regular individuals working for free in furtherance of the advancement of machines is an act of worship, and it is entirely possible that many of the open source communities were founded by the Acolythi Machinae.”
I thought this might be a good place to capture some ongoing investigations into (as yet) unanswered questions. As people pose theories and gather evidence, others can discuss the data until a solid conclusion / consensus is reached. Then info could be posted to the appropriate place in the actual wiki. To that end, I will start topics on issues / questions that I think need further discussion / investegation.
